You're not where you want to be. And it's YOUR fault.

What stands between you and your dreams? Whose fault is it that you’re not where you want to be in life?

This is about to get very uncomfortable for some of you. What stands between you and your dreams? Whose fault is it that you’re not where you want to be in life? Is it your employer’s fault for not paying you enough? Is it the government’s fault for wasting your tax dollars? Is it Jeff Bezos’ fault because he has a metric f**k ton of money and you don’t?

Truthfully, the most significant obstacle between where you are now, and where you want to be in the future is often yourself. You need to recognize and confront the self-imposed limitations that hinder your growth and progress. Is it fair that others have it easier than you? Absolutely not. But you can do two things. One, let it consume you and sulk in your misery of being unlucky. Or two, do everything in your power to overcome the obstacle. Which choice will you make?

Here are your three lessons.

  1. Take responsibility for your actions 🚀 Acknowledge that you are the primary architect of your life. Understand that your choices, actions, and mindset play a significant role in your success or failure. Take responsibility, and empower yourself to change your situation.

  2. Identify self-sabotaging behaviors 🔎 and cut that sh** the f**k out of your life. Do not give power to ideology that does not benefit you. Do not believe in things that make you weak. Reflect on your habits and behaviors to determine which ones might be holding you back. Is it procrastination? What about fear of failure? Or maybe it’s something as simple as negative self-talk. Identify those habits, and eliminate them.

  3. Cultivate a growth mindset 🌱 You’ve already heard this here before. Embrace your challenges. Learn from your failures, and pray that there are lots of them. The more you f**k up, the more you learn. As long as you’re learning, you’re moving forward. As long as you’re moving forward, the distance between you and the goal post will get smaller and smaller. Adopt a growth mindset and you’ll be better equipped to overcome setbacks and push forward towards your goals.

You, and only you, have the power to shape your own destiny. Will you be a victim of the system? Or will you be a product of success and hard work. The choice is yours.

Regards, and keep moving forward.
